Why did God create man?

God created man out of His endless and selfless love. God wants us to know him, love him, and serve him who is all good, all powerful, and all knowing. We are created to be happy with him forever.

God did not create us because He was lonely or he needed some labour done on earth. We are created purely for our own sake. The life and communion shared between the three persons of the triune God, is so complete and full that He lacks nothing. God created us so that we can share in His life. God wants us to share in His endless joy. We are the pinnacle of God’s creation.

Psalm 8:4-6 says “What is man that You are mindful of him, And the son of man that You visit him? For You have made him a little lower than the angels, And You have crowned him with glory and honor. You have made him to have dominion over the works of Your hands; You have put all things under his feet”
